The Thumbs Up sign represents David Niven's last defiant gesture. It remains our symbol of hope

BARN  DANCE

Hopefully these pictures will show how much we all enjoyed the Barn Dance on Friday 31st March.

Stopsley Working Men’s Club very kindly let us use their Dance Hall for this event and about 127 people came along.   We were also lucky to again have Kelly’s Eye to provide the music and much needed instruction for the dances.  The dance floor was completely full for all the dances and everyone dancing enjoyed themselves and those just watching had an equally enjoyable time.

Thanks to our supporters we had a magnificent raffle and after doing the sums we were delighted to find that the evening had raised £770.45.   Many thanks to everyone attending.

We have been asked to arrange another Barn Dance and we are very pleased to let you know that both Stopsley Working Men’s Club and Kelly’s Eye have agreed to do it all again on Friday 20th October 2006.   Make a note in your diaries now.   Unfortunately there were some problems with the Buffet so at the October dance we will be providing a Ploughman’s Supper at each table so there will be no queuing for food.
