The MND Association is the only national organisation of its kind dedicated to working on behalf of people with MND.

We provide care and support to people with MND, enabling them to live their lives to the full. This includes loaning essential equipment, training Association Visitors and running a national Helpline.

We promote scientific research, and provide funding to specialists seeking to understand, find treatments and ultimately cure the disease. Research is expanding and we currently sponsor over 20 key projects in the UK alone.

We speak on behalf of people with MND, demanding the best possible standards of care for all. As part of this, we are successfully campaigning locally, nationally and internationally.

We have established eight Care Centres that provide essential co-ordinated care services, and an expansion programme is well under way.

The Association's Helpline offers information and support to people affected by the disease. It is available Monday to Friday 9.00am-5.00pm and 7.00pm-10.30pm, and on Saturday and Sunday 10.00am- 6.00pm. Calls are charged at local rates from anywhere in the UK.
